Early Days
Avenues is an alternative folk music project, formed in late 2012 by two minds with different musical searches and practices before who decided to understand and narrate the life with their stories and timbres…
Empty House
“Empty House” was the first song we wrote. While playing this song on Suadiye shoreline one day, some people came around us, listened to it and said they liked it much. Frankly, this was a minor breaking point for our journey.
Writing Our Tunes
Although we try to learn the songs of some of our favorite bands during this period, we started to write and sing our own stories. Mostly alone at nights, in parking lots… Songs like “I Do Worry”, “Last Share”, “Sourrounded”, “Battle Ways”, “Old Man’s Folly” are our own tunes from that era. Long nights, long words…

The melodies we loved made us happy, but the same melodies were paradoxically sad.

Together Again
The Way You Smile
Interprets/Covers are important as long as they do not make the model forget and provide accessibility to the model. Although no covers gives the essence of the model, without the copy the model is inaccessible. When the replicas are considered together, it provides the possibility of the model. The model is disclosed with these replicas. An attempt to interpret one and only Blaze Foley’s song from his “Sittin’ by the Road” album.
