Album: Another Time
This song is dedicated to the good manners and strong character of Lithuanian people these qualities are hard to find these days…
“Let me tell you the story of this song, on summer of 2017 I went to visit Lithuania and during that visit I learned many things about the country, it’s history, famous characters, rulers, people, food, music and culture. These information made me think of Lithuanian Nation and I kind of like these people. Than while I was visiting Trakai Castle I went on a walk on the shore of Trakai Lake, there I saw the influence of this song. A little Lithuanian child. That little girl may have had the strongest and most powerful character that I have ever seen. She had a cup of coffee in her hand and from the vapour coming out of the cup I undertand that it was very hot. Than I saw nearly half of that cup was spilled on the floor. The little childs hand was shaking because of the heat yet she was holding the cup strong. And when I looked carefully I saw the tears rushing through her eyes. But she did not scream she did not yell she just stood still and not a sound heard from her. She seemed to be more ashamed of pouring the coffee on the floor than getting her hand burned by the boiled water of the coffee. She seemed to be ashamed becauce may be she had given the only money she had to that coffee. I still can not believe how strong she stood still and how she did not yell or shout out loud and cry… Instead, that little girl hold her cup of coffee and showed the world how strong characters the Lithuanians have. She made me want to spread this event and share the respect I had for the Lithuanians to the whole world and the best way to do it was to write a song for Lithuanians. For me that little girl symbolises the whole Lithuanian Nation and their good manners and strong character. I hope I was able to express my thoughts correctly with this song.” – Emir
Mindaugas has united your land,
You’re living there since those days!
Always searching for peace and freedom,
For that your ancestors gave their lives…
Ou owu Lithuanian girl!
Have all the colors of the skys in your eyes…
Ou owu Lithuanian girl!
You’re living in the beautiful land of rain…
Not always have the days of laughter,
There’re downs of life that struck you!
Tears coming down through your river eyes,
But not a sound heard from you!
Ou owu Lithuanian girl!
You’re the grand daughter of Vytautas…
Ou owu Lithuanian girl
have a character that we all adore…
